The John Cage Organ Foundation Halberstadt is performing the organ piece organ²aslsp by the American composer and avant-garde artist John Cage (1912-1992) in the Burchardi Church in Halberstadt. Accompanying this exceptional concert, the foundation aims to offer young artists in the field of new music the opportunity to study and perform. The Cage House, right next to the performance venue, provides the space for this. Renowned lecturers and jurors accompany annual events such as the Cage Award or the Cage Workshop. Accompanying, changing exhibitions form the framework. The informal atmosphere in the Cage House and among the participants make the Cage Academy a useful meeting place. It is a meeting place for students at the beginning of their careers with internationally renowned artists and lecturers. Participation alone is a benefit. There is also attractive prize money for the winners of the Cage Award. Die John-Cage-Orgel-Stiftung Halberstadt führt das über 639 Jahre währende Orgelstück organ²aslsp des amerikanischen Komponisten und Avantgardekünstlers John Cage (1912-1992) in der Burchardi-Kirche in Halberstadt auf. Begleitend zu diesem ausgewöhnliche Konzert hat die Stiftung das Anliegen, jungen Künstler*innen im Umfeld der Neuen Musik Studien- und Auftrittsmöglichleiten zu bieten. Das Cage-Haus, gleich neben dem Aufführungsort, bietet dafür die räumlichen Möglichkeiten. Namhafte Dozent*innen und Juror*innen begleiten jährliche Veranstaltungen wie den Cage-Award oder den Cage-Workshop. Begleitende, wechselnde Ausstellungen bilden den Rahmen. Die familiäre Atmosphäre im Cage-Haus und der Teilnehmer untereinander machen die Cage-Academy zu einem nützlichen Treffpunkt. Sie ist Begegnungsort für Studierende am Anfang ihrer Laufbahn mit international bekannten Künstlern und Dozenten. Bereits die Teilnahme ist ein Gewinn.
